"Wow! What a winter!"
That's the observation of John Prohaska, engineering coordinator at the new MnSP plant at
Brewster, who's cautiously optimistic that construction will stay on schedule and the
complex will be complete by Fall 2003.
"The nice weather has allowed construction to progress on schedule," he reports.
"Cold weather slowed the work down a little, but we are still on target," he
adds.

weeks, and Prohaska expects erection of the steel buildings
to begin early in February. He said Crown extraction machinery is beginning to arrive on
the job site, with three sections of the dryer cooler already on the premises.
The slip form which will be used to build the meal silos is being prepared and is nearly
ready for the con-tinuous pour project. Erection of steel bins for bean re-ceiving is
scheduled to begin by the time MNSP mem-bers read this newsletter, he predicts.
And the Brewster skyline is taking a new shape, too: Three towers for holding receiving
conveyors have been erected and the receiving bucket elevator legs are on-site.
Boiler room equipment has been ordered, and is scheduled to arrive in June.
